Inaugural Alumni Reunion - London 2025

The vibrant energy of London played host to a special milestone this year: the very first Rugby School Thailand Alumni Reunion in the United Kingdom!

As London increasingly becomes a chosen destination for our graduating students, particularly those heading to prestigious Russell Group universities like Imperial, UCL, LSE, King's College and renowned arts institutions such as the University of the Arts London, the desire to build a strong UK-based alumni network has blossomed. There was no better way to begin this tradition than with a warm and welcoming gathering.

On a glorious spring evening, bathed in London's golden light, a delightful group of Old Rugbeians based in the city came together for an intimate private event at The Refinery Bankside. It was truly heartwarming to see alumni from every cohort represented, including members of RST's pioneering graduating class of 2020. Adding to the special atmosphere, we were thrilled to welcome several former student leaders: Head Boys Sung Eun (RST20) and Albert (RST23), Head Girl Cherry (RST22) and Head of House Tan (RST22). Their presence underscored the enduring bonds and shared experiences that define the Rugby School Thailand spirit.

This inaugural reunion marks the beginning of what we anticipate will be a thriving annual tradition in the UK. With a significant number of our current graduating cohort also planning to pursue their studies in the United Kingdom, we eagerly look forward to seeing this event grow substantially next year, welcoming even more familiar faces.

The reunion also provided a wonderful conclusion to a recent UK trip, during which the Head of Senior School, Mr Groves and Higher Education Adviser, Mr Markes, had the pleasure of visiting Imperial College London, King's College London and the London School of Economics (LSE). A particular highlight of these visits was a fantastic campus tour at LSE, led by our very own alumna, Rew (RST23). It was inspiring to witness our graduates thriving in their university environments.

This first London alumni reunion was a beautiful reminder of the strong community that continues to flourish beyond the gates of Rugby School Thailand. We can't wait to connect with even more of our Old Rugbeians at our next UK event.
