Thai Universities: A Day of Campus Tours and Reconnecting
- Whole School
I recently had the pleasure of visiting some of our recent Rugby School Thailand alumni at two prestigious Thai universities.
My first stop was King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), where I met with Katie (Class of 2024) who is currently studying Dentistry. Katie kindly gave me a tour of her campus and introduced me to the state-of-the-art dentistry labs where students engage in hands-on learning using cutting-edge technology. It was especially interesting to see how KMITL’s Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry collaborates with other university departments such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Engineering.
After KMITL, I headed to Chulalongkorn University, home to three more Class of 2024 alumni: Buggy, studying Economics (EBA), Memie, pursuing Psychology (JIPP), and Tonhom, majoring in Applied Chemistry (BSAC). Each of them shared their unique experiences and it was wonderful to witness their growth - both academically and personally - since they graduated from our Sixth Form in June. Their increased confidence was evident, and although they’re thriving at university, they expressed how much they miss their School friends now scattered across the globe.
Visiting our alumni has a tremendous impact, and it’s clear that they appreciate the continued connection and support from Rugby School Thailand, even as they move firmly into the next chapter of their lives. We are so proud of you all!
