Insights | Art at Chulalongkorn

Artwork of a student

One of our Class of 2021 alumni, Tanya, returned to RST this week to talk about her experience as an art undergraduate at Chulalongkorn University. Tanya is studying for a BA in Fine and Applied Arts in Thai, as she is trilingual.

This year, many students are interested in applying for Foundation and art-related Degree courses around the world. Although some of our students have already received offers, many are finishing off their portfolios and preparing for the interviews they have been invited to.

It was brilliant to hear Tanya talk through how she selected work for her portfolio and how she presented it. Her personality and friendly approach made our students feel at ease, and they were able to ask her many questions. She also showed us her current sculpture work and past projects, which were large-scale and impressive. Tanya intends to apply to study an MA in London next year, and we look forward to hearing more about that in due course.

We are so grateful that Tanya could make the time to pass on her wisdom and advice. We know it will be hugely valuable to our our XX art students, who are currently working towards their coursework deadline.
