A new look for Pre-Prep

"Where learning begins .

“Where learning begins and never ends” has been newly inscribed on our Pre-Prep wall, as part of The Oval renovation project. It tallies with our Pre-Prep philosophy to instill that early love of learning and perpetual curiosity through life.

Timed with the reopening of School, we’ve brightened and refreshed the whole building to inspire our littlest learners from the moment they step into the car park. Our signature colours now adorn the entrance, with the School mantra “the whole person, the whole point” curving around the assembly hall and enticing yellow curbs leading into the building.

It's been wonderful to welcome children back to this fresh, colourful environment; they are the finishing touch that, quite literally, bring it all to life!

Inside, the children are greeted by our Caring Koala and Persevering Penguin – two of the many child-sized learner profile characters to be discovered hiding around the central area. Bringing these profiles to life and embedding them into the School day has been a big focus for RST this year, not just in Pre-Prep, but throughout the school.

We’ve also designed captivating new signage for special spaces around The Oval, to help the children easily identify areas such as our new Learning Café, our Soft Play room and the Lunch Room. These visuals are all part of building reading, writing and language skills, as well as independence. For the parents, too, there are updated notice boards for clear and accessible daily information. These have been backed in weather-proof fabric, so they’ll fare well in our tropical climate!

The inside/outside nature of The Oval has always made a wonderfully inspiring learning environment, but now the building feels brighter and more engaging than ever; a reminder that the RST experience starts from the very first days of learning here.
