Academics
University Preparation
Our Sixth Form receive full support and guidance throughout the university application process, whether they are applying to UK institutions or elsewhere. In addition to the more formal academic curriculum, our children also enjoy a Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHE) course and other support programmes.
PSHE
PSHE covers a broad range of subjects, focusing on student well-being, and aims to help them make their own moral judgements as capable young adults. Each week, our students meet with a tutor who understands their future goals and current challenges, and who will support them in both academic and personal life at Rugby School Thailand.
EAL Support
Rugby School Thailand provides English as an Additional Language (EAL) support for children who speak English as a second or additional language. Our Key Stage 5 programme helps pupils develop their academic writing skills as well as other skills necessary to enter and thrive in their chosen unitiversities. We also offer preparation courses for school English language entry examinations for university, such as IELTS and Cambridge C1 Advanced.
In nurturing the ‘Whole Person’, we also help our senior children cultivate extracurricular interests, leadership skills and participate in community work. With the proven British curriculum and our centuries of legacy, our children will prosper into well-rounded, global citizens who will thrive in university and beyond.
University Preparation Course
Our unique ‘University Preparation’ course teaches pupils how to cook (healthily), budget for independent living and think about how they can best balance social and work commitments when they get to university.
