Playgroup

Please note: Our Rugby Rascals playgroup will be running again as usual from September 2020. However, increased safety measures mean the current rules apply:
  • One adult per child
  • Temperature checking
  • Hand gel
  • Limited places
  • Adults to wear mask or face shield

Rugby Rascals playgroup began in April 2018 and is open to parents and children from birth onwards. Parents stay and play with their children in our specially designed playgroup area: a double classroom that consists of a soft play gym area and a range of learning materials and activities. Our specialist teachers visit Rugby Rascals to offer baby yoga, music & movement and story sessions each week, and we have use of the additional school facilities including the Nursery playground and the splash pool. Activities include messy play, puzzles, fine and gross motor development and creative development. There are also age-appropriate toys to stimulate babies and the very young including a ball pool, bouncy baby trampoline and musical tables.
Much of the Rugby Rascals playgroup is free-play, where the children can choose where and what to play with. Three short sessions encourage focus, concentration, listening and following instructions, with both parents and children encouraged to take part together.
Rugby Rascals is a great chance for adults to meet new people and for the children to develop their social skills in a safe and supervised setting.
The playgroup takes place twice a week during term time. On Mondays we have Rugby Rascals ‘Mini’ for babies and toddlers under 2 years old (8.30-10am / 300 THB). On Thursdays we have Rugby Rascals for toddlers and children over 2 years old (8.30-10.30am / 400 THB). The price includes a drink and snack.
