As the first Archimedes accredited Forest School in Thailand, we offer a dedicated, purpose-built Forest School area and fully trained staff.

Forest School is an integral part of our curriculum, providing children with regular opportunities to learn and develop in a natural outdoor environment. As a child-centred approach to learning, it encourages play, exploration, creativity and supported risk-taking, helping to build confidence, resilience, independence and self-esteem.

Our Forest School programme is led by a highly qualified team. All teachers and teaching assistants hold Forest School certification, and the School currently has three qualified Forest School Leaders. The programme is managed full-time by a specialist Forest School Director who ensures a progressive, long-term programme of learning for every child throughout the Pre-Prep years. This provides students who join us in Pre-Nursery with a carefully coordinated weekly programme of personal growth from ages 2 to 6.

In addition to the core programme, Pre-Prep students also enjoy a range of Forest School co-curricular activities and parent workshops, enabling the wider school community to engage with and benefit from this unique learning experience. Read More.

From age 7, students continue their outdoor learning journey through our Adventure, Survive, Explore programme. This develops many of the same skills and attributes while preparing students for the world-renowned The Duke of Edinburgh's International Award, which begins in Senior School.

Our custom-built child safe Forest School has a pond, fire pit, mud kitchen, and den building area, as well as places to explore and climb.

Our staff are highly trained by experts from the UK to embrace the benefits of bringing learning outdoors and into real life.

How does Forest School work?

Forest School activities are hands-on outdoor experiences that encourage children to  learn through nature. Sessions are child-led, with teachers guiding and supporting.

  • Bushcraft: Fire lighting, knot tying, tool use, and shelter building.
  • Nature exploration: Scavenger hunts, bug hunting, wildlife observation, and sensory walks.
  • Creative arts: Nature-inspired art, crafts, and construction projects using natural materials.

Children identify challenges, find solutions, and learn through trial and error. Teachers guide, support and help children think creatively, work collaboratively, and learn safely within a natural environment.
